Mooovement！

In the Global Summit, Shigeru, the coordinator of JCMN, pronounced the “movement” with an exceptionally long vowel with humor. He wanted to stress the slow progress of the mission movement taken place in Japan. JCMN has been walking with CCMN together for 27 years and planned to move forward by its own pace to be a mission force in future.

5 years ago JCMN made their first attempt, sending Anchan to New City team in the Middle East. Anchan was on the stage in the Summit to share how his team experienced such a revolutionary moment in the New City.

“The Revolutionary Army came to the Capital earlier than expected. We couldn’t run for the neighboring country. Instead we spent the whole night saying praise and prayers. The repeated round of gunfire in the midnight marked the victory of the revolution. The next day we safely arrived to the neighboring country where some refugee friends were waiting for us.”

“In Act 12, Peter was once in prison, but finally an Angel rescued him.”

“We aren’t expecting only good things to happen in our life from God. In reality, when we preach the gospel, sufferings usually come after. But it is God who can save us from these. We share the same hope in the Act.”

Shigeru left an impressive remark as well. He said he treasures two values: giving and serving. Without the two values, there are no driving force to keep the engine working in the network and the mission movement. Anchan gave an account of some practical works. For instance, Japanese STM teams are going to serve along with the New City team. Back to Japan, STM teams can tour to different churches for sharing and motivating purposes. By doing so, it is hoped that churches will send workers to the fields. JCMN is highly supportive to the work of sending churches, church network and Smart team.

Anchan believes, “everyone is a responder to the network. Your success is also my success.”
